2017 Plans set

Planning for 2017 is complete and SCGH will be visiting some old and some new haunted locations this year. We will be returning to the Bell House, the Old Licking County Jail and Prospect Place. We are also excited to announce 2 new investigations this year as well, St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Old Bissman Building in Ohio. If you have any suggestions for new locations or would like to join us on an investigation, please contact us at email@example.com or shoot us a message on our facebook page.
Dead Man’s Hollow
October 15, 2016
SCGH was invited by the Allegheny Land Trust to participate in a Night Hike and Ghost Hunt in Dead Man’s Hollow. A place doesn’t earn a name like “Dead Man’s Hollow” without having spooky tales and a history of mysterious deaths, natural disasters, and inexplicable happenings to go along with it. The 450-
The hike was a huge success and SCGH looks forward to doing it again next year. We are already discussing plans to potentially add some Spring dates in 2017. Stay tuned and follow us on facebook to learn more about our next events.
Mama Mama, We are All Crazy Now!
June 16, 2016
SCGH returns to where it all began for us, the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (Weston State Hospital) in Weston, WV. This is definitely one of the most haunted locations we have ever done and as usual, it did not disappoint. Make sure you check out our findings on our Investigations page.
Hinsdale House was Off the Charts!
April 24, 2016
Between the shadows, the heaviness, the corn throwing, personal experiences, and the dreams about Lucy that followed, I'd have to say that this place was off the charts and definitely left its mark on us! Make sure you check out our evidence on the Investigations page, including the possible shadow figure we caught while we slept!
Time for a website refresh!
February 23, 2014
Thanks to some incompatibilities with our hosting server moving from PHP 5.2 to 5.4, we had to totally rewrite the entire website. After 4 grueling weeks of work replacing every piece of code, we have successfully converted and published most of the old site content. It’s amazing how much you can accumulate in 4 years! While there is always work to be done, we feel we have captured most of the content and hope you find the new site to be just as friendly as the old one. Feedback of course is always welcomed!
The Civil War Revisited
December 1, 2013
Gettysburg is well established as one of the most haunted areas in the United States. During three days of intense Civil War battle, more than 51,000 brave Union and Confederate soldiers lost their lives, and tens of thousands more were wounded and crippled.
The team travelled to this historic town last week and investigated 4 locations! These included the David Stewart Farmhouse, The Jennie Wade House, The Homestead Orphanage, and the Sax Bridge. We also visited Centralia and of course, the battlefields during our stay. Make sure you check out the amazing evidence we caught at the Jennie Wade house. Also, visit our facebook page to see some additional awesome photos from Centralia and the battlefields.

Welcome Vance and Troy!
November 10, 2012
The Steel City Ghost Hunters team has expanded to 11 members strong as we just promoted 2 investigators in training, Vance and Troy, to full time members. Vance and Troy have been investigating with us for several months now and have definitely earned this achievement. Check out their bios on our About Us | Team page.
Ghosts of Pennsylvania
October 22, 2012
Steel City Ghost Hunters was invited to present at the Northern Tier Library in Gibsonia to celebrate Halloween. We had over 45 people register and attend and the session was a huge success! It was an absolute pleasure to see so much interest and support for what we do. Thanks to the team for sharing this experience and thanks to all of those that joined us. The event also made it into the local newspaper:
If you are interested in having us present to your group, please contact us and let us know. Everything we do is free of charge.
